The subject Moon and Rabbit came up through our work outdoors with performances, which exposed us to the will of nature, but also made us aware of the symbols nature represents in culture. The mysterious connotations attached to the moon as well as to the rabbit. The hare or the rabbit whose characteristics is being fast and agile symbolizes ephemerality. The rabbit is a fugitive always moving as he has many enemies and his agility is what saves him (by the way he is the enemy of no other creature, he eats grass. Somehow we associate its attention with performance. In performance one exists always in the moment, one has to be smart in the decisions. The rabbit is even extensively present in ancient cultures. Coptic textiles have a rich repertory in depicting the rabbit in the center of their weavings.
